Community Commitment & Accountability
Christopher Street operates in a space shaped by the leadership, resilience, and advocacy of LGBTQ+ communities including Black LGBTQ+ people and other historically marginalized groups. We recognize that history and the responsibility that comes with building a brand connected to it.
We affirm the dignity, safety, and full humanity of LGBTQ+ individuals across all identities and backgrounds. Our commitment is operational, not symbolic.
Partnership Standards
All collaborators, ambassadors, and public-facing partners associated with Christopher Street are evaluated against defined standards of alignment.
We require:
Public affirmation of LGBTQ+ dignity and equality
Respect for racial equity and civil rights
No active affiliation with rhetoric, movements, or public positions that undermine marginalized communities
Ongoing review of alignment over time
Partnerships that conflict with these standards will not move forward or will be reevaluated.
“Structural Independence”
Christopher Street maintains independent partnership standards and governance. Brand decisions are not driven solely by marketing opportunity. Long-term community trust outweighs short-term visibility.
“Community Investment”
A minimum of 10% of quarterly Christopher Street sales is directed to LGBTQ+ foundations. Recipient organizations are selected with community input and reviewed to ensure meaningful impact.
“Accountability”
Alignment is not static. We regularly evaluate our partnerships and initiatives and remain open to dialogue with community leaders to strengthen our practices.
Christopher Street is committed to earning trust and protecting it.
Pride is not seasonal.
It is structural.
